I’ll be honest — trusting God sounded easier in theory.
Before the delays, the silence, the confusion.
Before life didn’t go the way I prayed it would.
It’s not that I stopped believing.
It’s that sometimes, my belief gets bruised.
Sometimes, I trust Him… but I still cry.
Sometimes I know He’s good… but I don’t understand what He’s doing.
“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding.”
— Proverbs 3:5
I read that and I’m like, “Yes, Lord… but I still have questions.”
And I think that’s okay.
Trust Doesn’t Mean I Don’t Struggle
Some days I’m strong in faith. Other days I need help even to pray.
But I’m learning that trust isn’t the absence of struggle — it’s choosing Him in the middle of it.
“When I am afraid, I put my trust in You.”
— Psalm 56:3
“The Lord is my strength and my shield; my heart trusts in Him, and He helps me.”
— Psalm 28:7
Sometimes I say those verses out loud just to remind my soul:
You don’t have to feel it to choose it.
God Doesn’t Need My Confidence — He Honors My Surrender
There have been times I sat in my room with nothing left to say but, “God, I trust You.”
And I didn’t even say it loud. I whispered it.
But I meant it.
And every time I let go, just a little more… I found out He was holding on the whole time.
“Those who know Your name trust in You, for You, Lord, have never forsaken those who seek You.”
— Psalm 9:10
“He will not let your foot slip—He who watches over you will not slumber.”
— Psalm 121:3
So no, it’s not easy.
But He’s faithful.
And that’s what keeps me going.
Waiting Doesn’t Mean Wasting
I used to hate waiting. I still wrestle with it.
But I’m learning — in real-time — that God uses waiting to shape trust.
He slows things down so we can grow roots, not just results.
“The Lord is good to those who wait for Him, to the soul who seeks Him.”
— Lamentations 3:25
“But they who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength.”
— Isaiah 40:31
If you’re in a waiting season, you’re not alone.
And waiting doesn’t mean God forgot you.
Sometimes it means He’s preparing something deeper — in you and around you.
He’s Not Rushing You — He’s Walking With You
I’ve learned that trust isn’t a switch. It’s not all or nothing.
Some days I’m walking steady.
Some days I’m limping.
But either way — He’s walking with me.
“Even though I walk through the darkest valley, I will fear no evil, for You are with me.”
— Psalm 23:4
I love that it says walk through, not skip, not run, not escape.
Walk.
It’s slow. It’s steady. It’s real.
Let’s Do This Together
If you’re reading this and saying, “That’s me,” — I see you.
Not from the other side of the struggle, but from inside it.
I haven’t figured it all out.
But I’m learning to trust.
I’m choosing faith again today. And if you are too — we’re already in this together.
“Encourage one another and build each other up.”
— 1 Thessalonians 5:11
“Carry each other’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ.”
— Galatians 6:2
Let’s remind each other — we’re not trusting alone.
We’re trusting with each other, in Christ.
One quiet yes at a time.
One whispered prayer at a time.
One more moment of surrender at a time.
